Description
Ammonium Sulfate is an inorganic salt widely used as a nitrogen fertilizer in agriculture. It provides a readily available source of nitrogen and sulfur for plant growth. It is also used in various industrial processes, including chemical manufacturing, water treatment, and food processing. The product appears as a white to off-white crystalline material, soluble in water but insoluble in alcohol and acetone. Granular forms are used in mechanical fertilizer application systems, while powder is commonly used in compound fertilizers or industrial use.

| Industrial Grade | Used in chemical synthesis, flame retardants, etc. | ≥ 20.5% N, low moisture |
| Food Grade | Used as a food additive, fermentation aid | High purity, conforms to FCC/GB |
| Feed Grade | Supplement in animal feed for nitrogen and sulfur | Conforms to relevant feed standards |
| Customized Grade | Tailored particle size, anti-caking, or coating as required | As requested |
Applications
- Agriculture: Primary nitrogen fertilizer for crops, especially for rice, wheat, and fruits.
- Chemical Industry: Intermediate in production of ammonium salts and synthetic resins.
- Food Industry: Additive and processing aid in baking and fermentation (food-grade only).
- Water Treatment: Used in nutrient dosing for biological treatment systems.
- Feed Industry: Used in compound feed to improve nitrogen balance.
Advantages
- Highly soluble, fast nitrogen release
- Provides both nitrogen and sulfur, promoting protein synthesis
- Low volatility compared to urea
- Improves soil acidity in alkaline soils
- Compatible with other fertilizers and nutrients
Storage
Store in a cool, dry, and ventilated place. Keep away from moisture, water, and incompatible substances (e.g., strong alkalis). Avoid direct sunlight and sources of ignition. Seal the packaging properly after use to avoid caking.
